We totally love Luxe Lips and spent almost a year perfecting the product! One of our main priorities was that we wanted the Lipstick to be long lasting...NO more than that... we wanted it to be able to outlast a marathon of a day! Even after the busiest, longest day we wanted you to look in the mirror and think- my Luxe Lipstick is still on point!
Buuuuuut...with our success has come a curse! Our Luxe Lipstick is difficult to remove. We don't want our Luxe Ladies getting dry, sore lips from scrubbing our amazing lipstick away...So we've taken the time to try and test every lipstick removal method we could find online and have listed out favs below.

Oil

Baby Oil or Coconut Oil both work perfectly, and we will even admit that we also tried Olive Oil from the kitchen and Argon Oil meant for the hair! Pour a little oil onto a cotton pad and dab onto your lips. Make sure to use a good amount. After 4ish minutes wipe a clean cotton pad over your lips and watch your Lipstick wipe away like magic!

Vaseline/Lip Balm

Is there anything that Vaseline can't be used for? Well Vaseline will protect your lips whilst you're removing! Smear some Vaseline onto your lips, a nice thick layer and leave to soak in for a few minutes. Use a clean cotton pad or flannel to remove the Vaseline and your Lipstick will wipe away with it!

Micellar Water

We found that Micellar water took a little longer to remove the lipstick but we liked this idea as the water will hydrate your lips whilst cleansing them! #bonus Again use a cotton pad with a decent amount of the Micellar water.

Exfoliate

Now this one tasted soooo good! Great for if you're on a diet and want a little cheat, lol! An exfoliator will remove any dead skin cells which your Lipstick may be sticking too. For a cheap, quick and easy exfoliator mix together equal parts of brown sugar and honey in a small dish and rub the mixture over your lips for 30 seconds. Wipe away the excess and follow with a hydrating lip product to keep that pout soft and plump.

Brush

Now we all brush out teeth every day but how many of you brush your lips?? Grab a spare toothbrush, wet it and apply a little moisturiser to the bristles. Slowly buff your lips in little circular motions over your lips until the colour has gone. Not only will this remove the lipstick but it will also give your lips an exfoliation leaving them perfectly prepped for your next application.

Hand Cream

Out and about so have none of the above to hand? Then a hand cream or body lotion will work just as well. These types of products contain oil which will help to break down the formula and make it disappear right before your eyes! Apply some lotion to your lips, leave for a few minutes and wipe away. TaDaaa.
